Hello and welcome to the Gapped podcast. My name is Junaid Ibrahim & here we will hear from the shakers, movers and trailblazers from the muslim cycling community.
There are just so many people to speak to! There are so many people who are doing amazing things! Those who are pioneers, who started long before the cycling boom, who paved the way for the rest of us. Those who are still pushing boundaries, both physically and mentally, riding to different corners of the world, or the corners of their limits!
As an avid rider myself, no doubt I’d love to share some of my experiences and what has worked for me and what hasn’t. So whether you’re an ardent cyclist or just passing casually, we hope to provide you with entertainment, inspiration and tips for your next experience by bike.
Behind all of this is the thought that if you can hear it or see it, you can be it!

Salaam & welcome to another episode. Today we have on Abdulrahman, from Kuwait! He started his cycling journey out in Portland, USA, before moving back to his home country, Kuwait.
He starts by talking about how he lost half of his body weight, before becoming a cyclist advocate in Kuwait. He also runs a website called thepaperclip.cc - which showcases riders across the Middle East - trying to change perceptions about cyclists.
He also recently featured in cyclingweekly - Poor infrastructure, police harassment, a die-hard bike community - what it’s like to be a cyclist in the Middle East | Cycling Weekly a great article where he goes into more detail about life as a cyclist in Kuwait!
