This audioguide was produced as part of the Passé composé / Present Perfect
project to mark the tenth anniversary of Galerie UQO. The exhibition of
exhibitions descriptively reinterprets the documentation of 42 exhibitions,
segmented across the 10 walls that constitute the gallery’s interior architecture.
This read exhibition consists of 294 ekphrasis, descriptions of artworks and
exhibition-related elements, and will be accompanied by a book with 420 images
(10 walls X 42 exhibitions). For this audioguide, artist Jo-Anne Balcaen was
invited to recite aloud each of the ekphrasis contained in the exhibition.
This audioguide is part of Galerie UQO's efforts to generate forms conducive to
the production and dissemination of knowledge about contemporary art. The
audioguide is produced by Galerie UQO in partnership with Marie-Hélène

Frenette-Assad, and with the support of the Université du Québec en Outaouais,
of the Conseil des arts et des lettres du Québec and the City of Gatineau.
