Lyn Callender-Easby is the founder of DearGarden, an AI-powered app that helps busy people design, grow, and care for gardens that fit their lives. Originally from South Africa and now based in London, she combines a background in strategy consulting and customer experience with a lifelong love of gardening, bringing together creativity and AI to tackle one of gardening’s most complex challenges - making design and plant care easy and accessible to everyone.
DearGarden began with Lyn’s own experience of creating a garden from scratch in a new climate and realising how overwhelming it could be. Speaking with others juggling work, home life, and new gardens of their own, she found many shared the same challenge… too much information, too little time, but a real desire to make their outdoor spaces feel as special as their homes.
Blending creativity with practicality, she’s built an app that takes the guesswork out of gardening, offering design inspiration, personalised plant recommendations, and seasonal care guidance through Petal, DearGarden’s friendly garden sidekick. Her mission is to make gardening more accessible, mindful and joyful, helping people create thriving gardens, and grow their confidence along the way.
