Episode 7 opening hand, 5 player game, going 5th:

Opening hand:

  • Red-Backed Shrike. When activated: Steal 1 grub from another player’s supply and cache it on this bird. They gain 1 food from the birdfeeder
  • Small Minivet. When played: Play 1 additional bird in your forest. You may ignore 1 grub or egg in its cost.
  • Little Penguin. When activated: Draw and discard 5 cards from the deck. For each fish in their food costs, cache 1 fish from the supply on this bird.
  • White-Crested Laughingthrush. When activated: Tuck 1 card from your hand behind this bird. If you do, gain 1 grub, wheat or cherry from the birdfeeder.
  • Scaled Quail. When activated: Lay 1 egg on this bird.


Bonus cards:

  • Nest Box Builder. Birds with cavity nests. 4-5 birds = 4 points, 6+ birds = 7 points
  • Enclosure Builder. Birds with pebble nests. 4-5 birds = 4 points, 6+ birds = 7 points


In the tray:

  • Tawny Frogmouth. When activated: Reset the birdfeeder. Cache 1 grub or rat from the birdfeeder (if available) on this bird.
  • Australian Magpie. Game end: Discard 1 egg from each bird in this row and column that has an egg on it, excluding this bird. For each discarded egg, cache 2 wheat from the supply on this bird.
  • Common Nighthawk. When activated: If this bird is to the right of all other birds in its habitat, move it to another habitat.

 

Episode 8 opening hand, 2 player game, going 2nd:

Opening hand:

  • Caroline Wren. When played: Draw 2 cards
  • Rock Pigeon. When activated: All players lay 1egg. You lay 1 additional egg.
  • Common Goldeneye. Round end: Lay 1 egg on thisbird for each other bird with a cavity nest that you have.
  • Goldcrest. When activated: Discard 1 card fromyour hand. If you do, play another bird in your forest. Pay its normal food and egg cost.
  • Sacred Kingfisher. Once between turns: Whenanother player takes the “gain food” action, gain 1 grub, fish or rat from the birdfeeder, if there is one, at the end of their turn.  


Bonus cards:

  • Winter Feeder. Food remaining in your supply atgame end. 4-6 food = 4 points, 7+ food = 7 points
  • Photographer. Birds with colors in their names.4-5 birds = 3 points, 6+ birds = 6 points


In the tray:

  • Lewin’s Honeyeater. When activated: Choose 1other player. You both gain 1 nectar from the supply
  • Desert Wheatear. When activated: for each birdin your grasslands with an egg on it, roll any 1 dice. Choose 1 type of food you rolled and gain 1 of that food from the supply.
  • Audouin’s Gull. When activated: Draw 2 cardsfrom the deck. Tuck 1 behind this bird and keep the other.


End of round goals:

  1. Pebble nest birds with eggs
  2. Total eggs (Jacob Bruner special)
  3. Filled columns
  4. Brown powers
