11. Guest appearance with JK49ERFAN

The boys are joined by a very special guest this week, the amazing JK49ERFAN, otherwise known as Jeff. Jeff's wingspan database has been used extensively by the pair during the show, so who better to have on to talk about some Wingspan stats than the man himself!

You'll can watch this episode as well as listen to it! Many of the stats are shared on the screen during time of discussion, but if you want to review them later you can find a summary of them here, and his overall spreadsheet here.

You can find Jacob Bruner's end of round goals here.

As always, you can follow us on Instagram or Facebook to see exclusive content, and you can email fulltuckpodcast@gmail.com to speak to us in the longer form. Don't forget to like and subscribe so you don't miss out on any content!

5 player game, going 3rd

Opening hand:

  • Oriental Bay-Owl. Round end: Activate the “when activated” (brown) powers of all of your other predator birds.
  • Verditer Flycatcher. When activated: If you have gained a grub from the birdfeeder on this turn, gain 1cherry from the supply.
  • Ivory Gull. When activated: Choose a food in the cost of the card on top of the discard pile. Cache 1 of that food from the supply on this bird. You may spend food on this bird when activating a bird power.
  • Eastern Kingbird. Once between turns: When another player plays a forest bird, gain 1 grub from the supply.
  • Paradise Shelduck. When activated: If there is an egg on an adjacent bird, draw a card. If not, lay 1 egg on this bird.

Bonus cards:

  • Wetland Ranger. Consecutive birds in the wetlands with ascending or descending scores. 3 consecutive birds = 3 points, 4 consecutive birds = 5 points, 5 consecutive birds = 8 points
  • Citizen Scientist. Birds with tucked cards. 4-6 birds = 3 points, 7+ birds = 6 points

In the tray:

  • Greater Adjutant. Game end: Copy one bonus card of the player on your left, as if it were your own (score it based on your own birds).
  • Eurasian Jay. When activated: Steal 1 wheat from another player’s supply and cache it on this bird. They gain one food from the birdfeeder.
  • Grey Shrikethrush. When activated: Reset the birdfeeder and gain all rats, if there are any. You may cache any or all of them on this bird.

Episode 12 opening hand (link):

Opening hand:

  • Peregrine Falcon. When activated: look at a card from the deck. If <100cm, tuck it behind this bird.
  • Surfbird. When activated: all players draw 1 from the deck. You may also trade 1 from your hand with a card in the tray.
  • Common Yellowthroat. When activated: Draw 2. If you do, discard 1 from your hand at the end of your turn.
  • White-Bellied Sea-Eagle. When activated: Reset the birdfeeder. Gain 1 fish or rat if there is one, and cache it on this bird.
