Hello, fellow Marxists! Welcome to the final episode of Full Marx. This week we basically turned the show over to our listeners and let them decide what we would talk about this week. Lots of people wanted us to cover the brothers’ post-Marx Brothers career so we talked about that and some of their late career appearances. We also talked about some of our favourite movie moments and our general thoughts about the Marx Brothers amazing achievements and career.
Finally, thanks to all our listeners for their kind words and active participation during this series. We’ve appreciated all your comments and suggestions. You made doing this a lot of fun so thanks!

Hello, everyone! Well, here it is: our final “Marx Brothers” film. We put “Marx Brothers” in quotation marks because is this really a Marx Brothers film? Answer: sort of? Other answer: Not a very satisfying one! But David and Ian still have some opinions about it and you should really give them a listen.

Greetings, fellow Marxists! (The good kind!) This week Ian and Dave take a fond look at the late period Marx Brothers film A Night in Casablanca. This is the first Marx Brothers film that Dave ever saw. Does it hold up to his Grade 5 memories? Well, you’ll just have to listen to find out what the fellows think.

 

This week Ian and Dave watch and discuss the Marx Brothers’ final MGM film The Big Store. We won’t bother to pretend that there is a possibility that Ian or Dave may have actually thought this was a great or even a good movie; they didn’t. It’s a so-so movie and here’s why…

This week on Full Marx, Ian and David are joined by David’s daughter Mary to discuss one of her favourite movies, Monkey Business. The Marx Brothers third film and their first based, for the most part, on entirely original material.
A great setting, great gags and a weak ending. A weak ending? What could the Full Marx gang be thinking??? Well, you’ll just have to tune in to find out!
