Comfortability: The Enemy of Progress!

Let us start by acknowledging the dangers of staying in our comfort zone. When we stay in our comfort zone, we limit our potential for growth and success. We may feel safe and secure but are not pushing ourselves to reach new heights. Recognizing that progress and success often require stepping outside our comfort zone and taking risks is essential.

One power word is from Joshua. Joshua 1:9, to be exact, says, "Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go." This verse reminds us that we are not alone in our journey toward progress and success. We can overcome our fears and achieve our goals with strength and courage.

Myles Monroe would also like to share a powerful mind-reset encouragement on this topic. He said, "The greatest tragedy in life is not death, but a life without purpose." This quote emphasizes the importance of having a sense of purpose and taking action toward our goals, even if it means stepping outside our comfort zone.

So, how do we break free from our comfort zone and progress toward our goals and dreams?

Here are three Call-To-Action Steps:

Step 1: Embrace discomfort

The first step is to embrace discomfort. Recognize that growth and progress often require pain and taking risks. You can push past your limitations and reach new heights by embracing pain.

Step 2: Set goals

The second step is to set goals. Staying in our comfort zone is accessible without a clear sense of direction. By setting goals, you can give yourself a sense of purpose and direction towards which to strive.

Step 3: Take action

The third step is to take action. It is not enough to set goals; you must also take action toward achieving them. This may mean taking small steps toward your daily goals, taking a giant leap of faith, and stepping outside your comfort zone.

Progress and success require stepping outside your comfort zone and taking risks. By embracing discomfort, setting goals, and taking action, you can break free from the enemy of progress and achieve your full potential.
