Emotional regulation: Let’s unpack some of that Baggage!!!
In this video we unpack how growing up in a home with domestic abuse affected Bethel’s ability to regulate her emotions and this led to anger outbursts in the relationship.
It’s been a tough journey but thankfully we have both been open to growth and change throughout the process and through God’s grace we have been able to overcome this. We have learn't each other's triggers and how to best support each other when we are upset.
If you have grown up with child hood adversity, it is important for you to reflect ton how this has impacted on your current behaviours and thought patterns. These patterns can creep into your marriage unconsciously and could cause some real difficulties.
