For years we have been told that consuming a moderate amount of alcohol is safe and even be beneficial in the case of red wine.
The researchers of a metanalysis reviewed 107 cohortstudies. They saw that the pro alcohol studies were funded by the alcohol industry and we’ve seen other studies showing that moderate consumption of alcohol can increase the risk for cancers of breast, esophagus, head and neckand are linked to high blood pressure and serious heart arrhythmias called atrial fibrillation.
