June 10th 2008. When 62-year-old Colorado real estate developer Alan Helmick is found shot to death in his home, investigators are left searching for answers. As police dig deeper, they uncover a recent attempt on his life that was dismissed by Alan himself and suspicion soon turns to someone close to him.
