In a special episode to celebrate Black History Month, we sit down with Zoë Hingston, Head of Equality, Diversity and Inclusion at Newcastle University.



Originally from Sri Lanka, Zoë moved to the North East of England as a child and has since carved out a remarkable career, from qualifying as a solicitor to serving in the Northumbria Police and working for Newcastle United.In this episode Zoë shares her thoughts on the importance of Black History Month and the ongoing fight for racial equality. We’ll explore the role of universities in supporting diversity and the impact that leaders can have in shaping attitudes toward race.
