In this profoundly moving episode, I’m joined by Jenn Brown, a mother whose life was turned upside down in an instant. After returning to work from maternity leave, Jenn received the devastating call that her baby was a victim of shaken baby syndrome. Rushing to save her child, she faced not only a medical emergency but also the unimaginable pain of being investigated, all while fighting to keep her family together.
But Jenn’s challenges didn’t end there. Two years later, her 8-year-old daughter was diagnosed with leukemia, sparking a two-and-a-half-year journey of chemotherapy and hospital stays. Just as things seemed to settle, her middle son began experiencing terrifying seizures, adding yet another layer of hardship.
In the face of overwhelming pain and uncertainty, Jenn found the strength to heal herself. Through therapy, self-care, and her unwavering love for her children, she not only survived but found a way to thrive. Today, Jenn has turned her pain into purpose by becoming a life coach, helping other parents navigate their own struggles and find strength in adversity.
