Redford was a towering figure in American cinema whose influence spanned over six decades as an actor, director, producer, and environmental activist. Known for his striking looks, natural charisma, and understated acting style, Redford became a leading man in the 1960s and '70s with iconic roles in classics like Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid, The Sting, and All the President's Men.
