For Such a Time as This: Bold and Courageous Decisions
Growing up, my “heritage” was denim black jeans, which were our “number ones.” So when my daughter needed a Heritage Day outfit, I dressed her in a simple dress, added a tiara, and hung a sign: “I am a daughter of the King. My heritage is in heaven.” She loved it, though some found it embarrassing. But Romans 8:14-17 reminds us we are God’s children, co-heirs with Christ. Heaven is our true home, and Jesus is the only name we need to enter it.
Like Esther, who was positioned “for such a time as this” (Esther 4:14), we face choices: stay comfortable or step into God’s calling. She declared, “If I perish, I perish.” Comfort was never the goal; her position was an assignment. The same is true for us; the church was never called to settle but to advance.
It’s go time. Bold decisions might not mean risking our lives, but they could mean risking embarrassment, discomfort, or stretching beyond what feels safe. God doesn’t hand us a ten-step plan; He asks us to take the first step, and He meets us there.
You were born for such a time as this. Say yes. It’s go time.
