Lifetime of Learning Part 1 (Dr Marcia Braden)
In this webinar, Dr. Marsha Braden gives a lecture on learning styles and processes for individuals with Fragile X syndrome. She emphasizes the importance of understanding that individuals with Fragile X never stop learning
Dr. Braden explains that there is a lack of a particular protein that is important for learning and cognition, which results in anxiety, short-term memory problems, and attention problems.
Individuals with Fragile X prefer to learn simultaneously rather than sequentially and have a compulsive need to close things out.
Dr. Braden highlights that imitation is a significant skill for these individuals to learn.
