Volume 37: New CD From 80's Influenced Artist Joe Lynch
Joe Lynch has released a new cd called "Taking My Time". It's included here on the Forgotten 80's Podcast page because it's heavily influenced by the 80's music scene.
"Taking My Time", the cd's title track, sounds almost exactly like an early 80's Cars tune. "Cover Me" has a hint of journey like keyboards, with some Cars style keyboards thrown in as well. There's also a cover of the 80's Korgis classic "Everybody's Got To Learn Sometime" that stays true to the original while adding a few different keyboards to the mix. There is also a nod to the band A Flock Of Seagulls in the song "All Falls Down". "Let It Go" has a guitar pattern similar to something from Billy Squier (with an extended guitar solo) and "Under The Gun" has an Ichouse feel to it. There's even a nod to pink floyd with the moody song "Welcome To The Show".
Check it out, you'll like it!
