Mary Opitz Dissapearnce

Mary Opitz disappeared from a Florida mall parking lot in January 1981 after leaving her mother and brother to wait in their car. Initially considered a runaway, suspicions of foul play arose after a similar disappearance of Mary Hare from the same location a month later, whose body was later found to be a homicide. The circumstances of both cases, including abandoned cars and lack of clues, prompted authorities to consider a connection. Christopher Wilder, a known offender active in the area during that time and suspected in other disappearances, became a person of interest in both Mary Opitz's unsolved case and Mary Hare's murder before his death in 1984.Read the blog post: HERE
