Imagine a place where every creature living on our planet exists in unison with one another & the only thing that exists outside of that is a harmonious feeling of love.
That's the feeling I want to evoke each time I play, drawing on my raw and honest emotions. Playing music through the eyes & ears of my upbringing in a Black household, with roots in the Caribbean (Barbados) and ancestral depth in West Africa - listening to Gospel, Soul, Soca, Calypso, RnB, Dancehall, Jungle, Garage, House Music & all in between.
I challenge you to leave any prejudice, judgement, fear or negativity out of the equation at the moment you decide to click play on this mix and beyond - because none of that existed at the time in which this DJ set was recorded.
