They talk about what start-ups need to know about intellectual property, how to obtain a patent, and considerations when crafting an IP strategy. Ms. Miller is a second-year law student at Fordham Law intending to go into biotechnology patent practice. Mr. Miller, the father of Ms. Miller, is a patent attorney with a mechanical and environmental engineering background from Shumaker, Loop & Kendrick in Toledo, Ohio.
