On this exciting 3rd episode, we introduce the first installment to our new podcast series 'The ED-Pro Talks'. In this series our founder Kelsey Wu talks to professionals in the eating disorder field on the various works and accomplishments that they have done to mitigate the spread of the Eating Disorder epidemic. These professionals include, but are not limited to public health professionals, policy makers, politicians, university professors and more. This series is aimed to shed light on the latest interventions, legislation, and research that is currently being done for eating disorder prevention community in hopes to inform and inspire you all on the advancements of society against these harmful epidemics.
In this specific episode we had the pleasure to invite Harvard T.C Chan School of public Health professor Bryn Austin and director of the public health incubator STRIPED for eating disorder prevention onto the show. In this episode we talk about the many impactful advances STRIPED has made so far in the field of public health such as various training initiatives, new legislation across the country, and upcoming projects. more importantly we also dig into the main question of how society can advance towards a world in where children no longer have to worry about their bodies and can live in a healthier and happier environment.
