Summary of Angels in the Universe – Part 2:
1. The Heavenly and Earthly Temple Mount
There are two holy dwelling places: the heavenly Mount Zion and the temple mount on earth (Mount Moriah). Scripture speaks of both a heavenly and an earthly Jerusalem.
2. The Temple of God in Heaven
Revelation describes a heavenly temple with similarities to the temple in Jerusalem. Before God’s throne are seven fiery torches, symbolizing the seven spirits (seraphs).
The menorah (seven-branched candelabra) symbolizes divine light and the working of the Holy Spirit in the Christian congregation.
3. The Angels Michael and Gabriel
Michael is an archangel and a heavenly prince.
Gabriel is associated in the Bible with important announcements, such as the births of John the Baptist and Jesus.
4. Roles of Angels
Angels are messengers and servants of God.
They appear in various Bible stories, sometimes visible, sometimes invisible.
Angels have a role in God's plan, such as protecting Christians, delivering prophecies, and executing divine judgments.
5. Angels in the Future
Angels will play an important role in the Second Coming of Jesus.
They blow the trumpets and execute the plagues during the end times (Revelation).
They fight in the heavenly war against Satan and his angels.
6. Protection by Angels
Angels protect Christians and offer help in times of need.
Christians can have experiences in which they are unknowingly helped by angels.
Angels carry out God's instructions accurately and help believers, especially in difficult times.
7. Hospitality and Angels
The Bible teaches that hospitality is important, because some have unknowingly entertained angels (Hebrews 13:2).
