Hello, Im Craig and welcome to another episode of Football Kit Memories - the football podcast that gets under the shirt.
In today’s epsiode - Im joined by illustrator Dave Flanagan who’s worked with the likes of City, United, Liverpool, Juventus and Monaco.
We also discuss his role in the BBC’s iconic Euro 2020 opening credits as Dave sheds light on his creative process and the reasons he decided to go freelance after 20 years at a design agency.
Later I asked David to pick out three of his favourite football shirts and tell me a little bit about what they mean to him. Growing up in Preston Dave explains his strange passion for Liverpool, his family roots with Man City and we finish on a modern classic as Dave explains the significance of the Juventus 2015/16 Scudetto winning home shirt has to him.
