To kick off the second official episode of Football Americana, Yael meets with current USMNT sensation Ricardo Pepi. The FC Dallas player has very suddenly become a household name in the United States after inspiring the national team to a stunning 4-1 victory against Honduras during the 2022 World Cup qualifiers, and scoring during his debut. 

The two discussed Pepi's unique upbringing and the impact a Mexican-American heritage had on his football career. Most importantly, the recent star admitted the importance of playing for the US men’s national team and the thought process behind choosing America over Mexico.
