Her research uses critical perspectives to explore the inter-related workings of power and discourses, particularly as they relate to the experiences of teachers and the marginalization of children. Dr. Melanie Janzen was a classroom teacher for 15 years. She is life-long Winnipegger, living and working on Treaty One Territory.
