Story Transcript:

Tr: Emir boğazında koca bir düğümle uçaktan indi.
En: Emir disembarked from the plane with a large knot in his throat.

Tr: Uzun süre dışarıda yaşamış, dünyanın dört bir yanını gezmişti.
En: He had lived abroad for a long time, traveling all around the world.

En: Now, he was returning to the place of his childhood, to his family in Troya.

Tr: Rüzgarla savrulan turuncu yapraklar, sonbaharın gelişini haber veriyordu.
En: The orange leaves swept by the wind heralded the arrival of autumn.

Tr: Köy değişmişti.
En: The village had changed.

Tr: Troyalılar Cumhuriyet Bayramı’na hazırlanıyordu.
En: The Troya locals were preparing for Republic Day.

Tr: Bayraklar, süslemeler, sokak aralarında yankılanan kahkahalar... Emir kalabalığın arasında kaybolmuş gibiydi.
En: Flags, decorations, laughter echoing through the streets... Emir felt lost in the crowd.

Tr: Eski taş sokaklardan yürüyerek aile evine yaklaştı.
En: Walking through the old stone streets, he approached the family home.

En: The house was the same, but the connection between them was very different now.

Tr: Kapıyı Leyla açtı.
En: Leyla opened the door.

Tr: Ablası, onu görür görmez sarıldı ve 'Emir, hoş geldin,' dedi.
En: His sister hugged him as soon as she saw him and said, 'Welcome, Emir.'

Tr: Ancak, sesinde bir mesafe vardı.
En: However, there was a distance in her voice.

Tr: Fatih, avluda oturmuş, düşünceliydi.
En: Fatih was sitting in the courtyard, deep in thought.

En: After some small talk, they sat quietly in a corner.

En: Emir was trying to understand why they had drifted apart so much.

Tr: Cumhuriyet Bayramı'nın kalabalık kutlamaları başladı.
En: The crowded celebrations of Republic Day began.

Tr: Emir, kutlamaların birleştirici olacağını düşündü.
En: Emir thought the celebrations would be unifying.

Tr: Hem Leyla'yı hem de Fatih’i kutlamalara davet etti.
En: He invited both Leyla and Fatih to the celebrations.

Tr: Alanda renkli kostümler içinde dans eden çocukları izlerken Emir kalbinde sıcak bir his duydu.
En: As they watched the children dancing in colorful costumes in the square, Emir felt a warm sensation in his heart.

Tr: Bu, eve dönüşün başka bir şekliydi.
En: This was another form of coming home.

Tr: Emir, dans edenleri izleyen Leyla’nın yanına sokuldu.
En: Emir leaned close to Leyla watching the dancers.

Tr: "Konuşmamız gerek," dedi.
En: "We need to talk," he said.

Tr: Fatih de onlara katıldı.
En: Fatih joined them as well.

Tr: Üçü birlikte dansları izlerken, sonunda içlerindeki duvarları indirdiler.
En: As the three of them watched the dances, they finally let down their internal walls.

Tr: Emir, "Onları özledim," dedi. "Ama daha da önemlisi, sizleri özledim. Bu mesafeyi kapatmak istiyorum."
En: Emir said, "I missed them." "But more importantly, I missed you both. I want to bridge this gap."
