Story Transcript:

Tr: İstanbul'un serin, sonbahar günlerinden biriydi.
En: It was one of İstanbul's cool, autumn days.

Tr: Boğaz'ın üzerinde hafif sis vardı ve rüzgar ağaçların sararmış yapraklarını savuruyordu.
En: There was a light mist over the Boğaz and the wind was scattering the yellowed leaves of the trees.

En: Emir and Zehra were both tired and excited during their short stopover in İstanbul.

Tr: İstanbul Akvaryumu dış girşinde buluşmuşlardı.
En: They had met outside the entrance of the İstanbul Akvaryumu.

Tr: Burada, denizin büyülü dünyasına dalacaklardı.
En: Here, they would dive into the magical world of the sea.

Tr: Emir, denizi çok severdi.
En: Emir loved the sea.

En: To him, every creature in the sea was a miracle.

En: Zehra, on the other hand, was more realistic but secretly wanted to see more.

Tr: Belki bir gün, dünyayı dolaşmak.
En: Maybe one day, to travel the world.

Tr: Akvaryumun içerisi cıvıl cıvıldı.
En: Inside the aquarium, it was lively.

En: The cheerful sounds of children combined with the gentle murmur of water became part of another world.

Tr: Emir, büyük cam akvaryumun önünde durdu.
En: Emir stood in front of the large glass aquarium.

Tr: İçeride yüzlerce balık, mercanlar arasında yol alıyordu.
En: Hundreds of fish were navigating among the corals inside.

En: "Look Zehra, aren't these fish interesting?"

Tr: dedi.
En: he said.

Tr: Zehra başıyla onayladı.
En: Zehra nodded in agreement.

Tr: "Evet, gerçekten olağanüstü şeyler," dedi.
En: "Yes, they are truly extraordinary things," she said.

Tr: Ancak Emir'in bir yanı hep düşündeydi.
En: However, a part of Emir was always lost in thought.

En: They would soon board a plane, and this thought made him uneasy.

Tr: Zehra, Emir'in tutukluğunu hissetti.
En: Zehra sensed Emir's hesitance.

Tr: "En sevdiğin deniz hayvanları ile ilgili konuşalım mı?"
En: "Shall we talk about your favorite sea animals?"

Tr: diye önerdi yumuşakça.
En: she softly suggested.

En: Although Emir paused for a moment, he sighed, saying, "Okay."

Tr: Onlar derin deniz bölümüne gelmişlerdi.
En: They had arrived at the deep sea section.

Tr: Büyük bir tankın önünde duruyorlardı.
En: They were standing in front of a large tank.

Tr: İçeride, devasa bir vatoz nazikçe süzüldü.
En: Inside, an enormous stingray glided gently.

Tr: Vatozun zarif hareketleri Emil'in dikkatini çekti.
En: The elegant movements of the stingray caught Emil's attention.

Tr: "Küçük bir çocukken belgesellerde bunu izlerdim," dedi Emir.
En: "As a little kid, I used to watch this on documentaries," said Emir.

Tr: "Sanki yüzüyormuşum gibi hissederdim."
En: "I would feel as if I were swimming."
