Ru: В осенний вечер тихие улицы закрытого поселка были покрыты тонкой завесой тумана.
En: On an autumn evening, the quiet streets of the gated poselok were covered with a thin shroud of fog.

Ru: Ряды аккуратных домов стояли, освещенные мягким светом фонарей.
En: Rows of neat houses stood lit by the soft glow of street lamps.

Ru: Вблизи леса происходили странные события: питомцы жителей начали таинственно исчезать.
En: Nearby, in the forest, strange events were occurring: the residents' pets began to mysteriously disappear.

Ru: Все это заставляло жительницу поселка, Анастасию, проявить интерес.
En: All of this prompted a resident of the poselok, Anastasia, to become interested.

Ru: Она была молодой женщиной, недавно переехавшей сюда, и уже завела здесь новых друзей.
En: She was a young woman who had moved here recently, and she had already made new friends.

Ru: Анастасия слышала шепот соседей, тревожные разговоры о пропавших питомцах.
En: Anastasia heard the whispers of neighbors, anxious conversations about the missing pets.

Ru: Она не могла просто так сидеть сложа руки.
