Ru: На окраине большого города, в уютном закрытом поселке, царила осенняя атмосфера.
En: On the outskirts of a large city, in a cozy gated community, an autumn atmosphere prevailed.

Ru: Листья деревьев переливались всеми оттенками золотого, а дома украсились хэллоуинскими декорациями — паутинами из бумаги и вырезанными тыквами со свечами внутри.
En: The leaves of the trees shimmered with all shades of gold, and houses were decorated with Halloween decorations—paper cobwebs and carved pumpkins with candles inside.

Ru: В преддверии этого праздника, вечером, в клубном доме поселка должна была состояться большая вечеринка.
En: In anticipation of this holiday, in the evening, a big party was to be held at the community clubhouse.

Ru: Анна, или как её все звали "Аня", организовала праздник.
En: Anna, or as everyone called her, "Anya," organized the celebration.

En: Don't sit in the corner, people here are nice."

Ru: Дмитрий ненадолго остался один, наблюдая за происходящим.
En: Dmitry stayed alone for a short while, watching what was happening.
