Story Transcript:

En: In Vouliagmeni, a tranquil seaside suburb, the autumn breeze heralded the upcoming celebration of October 28th.

En: The streets were bustling with preparations for the parade.

En: The houses, overlooking the endless blue of the sea, rose from the lush landscapes.

En: Dimitrios, a former naval officer, walked slowly along the coastal road.

En: Each step reminded him of his need for good health, now that the doctors had confirmed the necessity for dialysis.

En: His pride outweighed his condition, refusing to accept help from Katerina, his daughter.

En: Katerina had left her life in Athens to be by her father's side.

En: A sluggish sun bathed her smile as she tried to assure Dimitrios that dialysis was not a limitation, but a new beginning.

En: However, Dimitrios operated as always, with dignity and independence.

En: The preparations for the national celebration had begun, and the community had prepared traditional foods and decorations with flags.

En: On the day of the festivity, Dimitrios wanted to attend the square, feeling that his strength hadn't abandoned him.

En: As the speeches and songs resonated in the square, he suddenly felt a weakness in his knees.

En: When he fell, the square froze.

En: Katerina, running to her father, saw the moment as a turning point.

En: Dimitrios, opening his eyes in the hospital, saw the concern and love in Katerina's eyes.

En: "Father, we have to change this," she said with a steady yet sweet voice.

El: "Χρειάζεσαι θεραπεία.
En: "You need treatment.

En: And I need you," continued Katerina, touching his hand.

En: Dimitrios nodded his...
