Our Spiritual Safeguard — Philippians 3:1; 4:4
From a prison cell, Paul commands believers to rejoice in the Lord always. In this sermon, Pastor Monroe unpacks why joy is a safeguard (Phil. 3:1) and strength (Neh. 8:10), how it differs from happiness, and how the Holy Spirit grows joy as fruit in the Christian life (Gal. 5:22–23). We also anchor joy where Jesus did: “Rejoice that your names are written in heaven” (Luke 10:20).
The Gospel: Jesus died for our sins and rose again. If you’ll turn to Him in repentance and faith, He will save you, forgive you, and give you new life.
