Pt 1 Episode # 400 Inside Lleywn Davis with Sean Wilson and Andy Williams from Frame to Frame
Happy 400th Flixwatcher! In this special birthday episode Sean Wilson and Andy Williams from Frame to Frame join Flixwatcher as hosts to review Helen’s choice Inside Lleywn Davis Inside Lleywn Davis (2013) is the 15th film by writer and director duo the Coen Brothers. Set in New York City in 1961, the film follows one week in the life of Llewyn Davis, played by Oscar Isaac in his breakthrough role, a fictional folk singer struggling to achieve musical success while keeping his life in order and trying not to lose his friends cat. The supporting cast includes Carey Mulligan as Jean Berkey, John Goodman as Roland Turner, Garrett Hedlund as Johnny Five, Justin Timberlake as Jim Berkey and Adam Driver as Al Cody. Recommendability scores for Inside Lleywn Davis were mixed, despite the love for it by Flixwatcher and guests it is a tricky one to recommend mainly due to its focus on folk music and perceived lack of plot. In a Flixwatcher first Inside Lleywn Davis scores 4.00 overall.
