DJ Applejac is an Atlanta-based DJ and producer with over 30 years of experience, known for seamlessly blending soulful sounds—Hip-Hop, Rare Groove, Soulful House, and more. His global footprint has taken him to dance floors across NYC, Chicago, D.C., Philly, Los Angeles, The Bay Area, Memphis, Houston, and beyond.
In Atlanta, he has held residencies at legendary venues like The Warehouse, MJQ, and The Sound Table, while also making an impact on both local and international radio. On the production side, his 2011 project Playin’ Favorites reimagined soulful covers with his own inimitable style. His remix of Dezaray Dawn’s “Chameleon” was featured in Ava DuVernay’s short film The Door for fashion brand Miu Miu during NYFW, and his Social Distancing Remixes on Bandcamp in 2020 further showcased his creativity.
Honored as one of ATL’s Ministers of Sound in 2013 and selected for Jazzy Jeff’s Playlist Retreat in 2016, Applejac has supported world-renowned acts like Nicolay (Foreign Exchange), Daz-I-Kue (Bugz In The Attic), DJ Spinna, J. Rocc (Beat Junkies), Ge-Ology, Benji B (BBC 1xtra), Rich Medina, House Shoes, DJ Rashida, and Pete Rock.
