What is HIIT?

What actually is HIIT?


The reason for the obsession with HIIT is how the fitness industry markets HIIT as time-saving and a good fat-burning tool. But do you know the history behind HIIT and why it is or who it is created for?


It is scientifically proven that the higher the intensity of the exercise, the more carbohydrates you will burn. Vice versa, the lower the intensity of the exercise. the more fat you will burn. However, the idea that lies with HIIT is that it provides long Excess Post-exercise Oxygen Consumption (EPOC) which burns fats during the process. But it's not all about the EPOC.
