Hey everyone! I hope you're staying safe in these trying times. As many of you will know, this episode was delayed because my computer broke in the middle of a pandemic, which is less than ideal. I hope you'll still give Abigail Adams a shot, however. She's so fascinating, and so well-attested, that I've split her into two parts. This half covers the first half of her life: her childhood and her life through the end of the Revolutionary War. Next time, we'll tackle her life abroad and her gigs as Second Lady and First Lady of the new Republic. For transcripts and sources, please see the Abigail Adams post on FirstLadiesOfTheUSA Dot Wordpress Dot Com. You can also email me at FirstLadiesOfTheUSA@gmail.com, follow me on facebook at facebook.com/firstladiesoftheUSA, and follow us on Twitter at @firstladiespod. Hope to see you next month, and don’t forget to remember the ladies!
