Hola! In this episode I was joined by Zadria Knives, a Latina multifaceted artist that is sharing her story with us in this Part 1. In our communities there is strong messaging around the importance of family and yet - the follow through of what it means to truly be there for each other can sometimes fall short. When individuals speak their truth regarding things like abuse, their truth is poked at, minimized, shut down - instead of honored, believed, and taken action on. I truly hope this is something we can change for the generations to come! May this conversation validate that yes our families can be so complex but also remind you that you are not alone!
Let me know what resonated from this episode and what question you would have asked Zadria!
