Nick Walters is a Left Alliance candidate in the 2025 Helsinki Municipal Election, held on 13th April.

He’s the co-founder and former chair of HELSINKI LEFT, an immigrant-led grassroots non-profit which represents and integrates immigrants in Finnish politics, and a deputy member of the City of Helsinki’s Equality & Non-Discrimination Commission.

Nick’s also active as a deputy councillor of his trade union Loimu and as a trade union representative at his workplace, the Natural Resources Institute Finland.

Nick’s campaign focuses on three main themes: ensuring social inclusion, improving public services, and protecting Helsinki’s nature.
