In 2023, global FinTech investment plummeted to $51.2 billion from $99 billion the previous year. The UK saw a significant drop, too, attracting just $5.1 billion compared to $14.6 billion in 2022. In the first quarter, British startups attracted $3.9 billion in investment, down from $4.8 billion.
