Indian Premier League (IPL) is the biggest earner in terms of both audience and revenue for the world’s richest board BCCI (Board of Control for Cricket India). The Indian premier league is one of the most spectated forms of cricket both on the ground and in the digital platform. As per The Hindu, in the year 2015 BCCI contributed an amount of Rs 11.5 billion to India’s GDP hosting IPL in India within a span of 60 days, and the gross revenue was as high as Rs 26.5 billion. These gigantic figures of revenue portray the acceleration of dependent ecosystems like – Tourism, textile, Beverages, Intrastate tourism spike, Hospitality services while IPL happens in India.
