38. People Pleasing: Why You Can't Please Everyone

hello! This week's episode is just a quick reflection on the topic of people-pleasing, inspired by a recent podcast episode that I listened to! I discuss the psychological reasons for why we choose to people-please in the first place, and how it can have an effect on all aspects of our lives, including work and relationships. I am DEFINITELY a self-diagnosed people-pleaser myself, but I've learnt firsthand how fighting to please everyone can actually end up disappointing people in the end, as well as neglecting yourself and your own needs. Here's just a few of my thoughts vis a vis this topic - let me know what you think! K x
