What exactly is a fierce female? It’s something we’ve been discussing a lot among ourselves recently.
Is it someone who only does good? Someone who is monumentally brave? A woman ahead of her time?
Or is she someone like Margaret Sanger, who revolutionised the birth control movement in America but was also a supporter of deeply disturbing beliefs.
In this episode, we look at a woman who achieved great things, but who also advocated for terrible things.
You’ll hear about how Margaret began fighting for women’s reproductive rights, how she opened the first birth control clinic in the USA, how she campaigned as a eugenicist, and the legacy she leaves today.
