Tips from a campus recruiter: How to stand out in your co-op interview | Episode 81
On today's episode, host Emily Anonuevo is joined by Campus Relations Specialist Aneesah Rashad, to discuss the student recruitment process and opportunities available at Fidelity. Aneesah's responsibilities include hiring 60-80 students every four months, promoting Fidelity's brand on campuses, building relationships with universities and colleges, and providing advice to students on improving their resumes, applications, and interview skills. Aneesah goes into detail about the student recruitment process at Fidelity, which involves a two-week application window, followed by interviews and onboarding for successful candidates. How candidates present themselves in these interviews is vital for their advancement, which is why Aneesah goes over how to prepare for some of the most important interview questions, such as "Tell me about yourself", "Why do you want to work here?", "Why this role?", "Describe your strengths and weaknesses" and "How would you solve a conflict without much guidance". Fidelity offers a wide range of roles beyond finance and business, many of which Aneesah cover's on today's episode, in departments like sales, human resources, marketing, and technology. Students from diverse backgrounds are encouraged to apply, as the company values transferable skills.
