Welcome to Fictionally Feral, the wildest (at least, we like to think so) book podcast out there. We don’t just read books—we tear through them! From plot twists that make you howl to characters you can’t tame, we’re here to unleash the most untamed discussions on the latest fiction (and a few classics we can’t help but revisit). So, buckle up, grab your book (and your sense of humour) because things are about to get fictionally feral!

Broken by Fatima Bala
No holds barred discussion on Broken by Fatima Bala. While reading this thought provoking book, some questions came into my mind about the intersectionality of love, desire, and faith. The love between Fai'za and Ahmad challenges religious boundaries, and i cannot help but wonder if this novel is suggesting that personal desire can or should override strict religious observance. Also, how exactly do modern relationships fit within traditional islamic frameworks? Finally, is this story encouraging or criticising the crossing of halal/haram boundaries?
