Mindfulness
Based on the book Journey to Ixtlan: The Lessons of Don Juan by Carlos Castaneda
Lucid Dreaming - Gateway to the inner Self by Robert Waggoner.
In the lucid dream state, the senses show themselves as the confirmers of expectation - not infallible guides to sensory response -and experience is largely infused with mental expectation about the experience. Just as in studies on hypnosis and pain reduction, the senses somehow bend to the intent of hypnotic suggestion.
In almost every dream, the senses don’t inform us of the difference between waking and dreaming; they actually confirm that whatever reality seems to be happening is indeed happening.
Only by increasing our conscious awareness in the dream state can we ever realise the nature of the reality we experience.
Meditation is what the lucid dreamer seeks to develop. When you learn to meditate, you learn a sense of balance when you turn inward.
This takes practise and patience, and poise.
Welcome to the Dream realm.
Sweet dreams.
