Facing Our Limitations: Dream as Sacred Message
Based on the book Journey to Ixtlan: The Lessons of Don Juan by Carlos Castaneda
Lucid Dreaming - Gateway to the inner Self by Robert Waggoner
Many people think that any attempt to disturb the dream, to involve the ego with it, or bring conscious awareness into it should, according to their viewpoint , be deemed fundamentally profane and a violation of the sacred.
The questions that the author of the book asks are: Does the sacred have no interest in interacting with us as aware dreamers, aware beings? Or does the sacred prefer less awareness in its dealings?
Does our interest in calling the dream sacred simply reflect our inability to understand it?
In order to interact with our shadows, to understand the symbols and dream figures, to experience new insights and new energy, we need to be aware in the dream.
Welcome to the Dream realm.
Sweet dreams.
