Curtis' repertoire includes pop, R&B and jazz. He has developed a unique and personal style of vocalization, often using body percussion - creating a personal language that speaks to many.

Curtis is in demand as a background singer and has been featured in numerous jingles, including being the "voice" of Bojangles. He has also provided vocals for artists such as Luther Vandross, Natalie Cole, Billy Joel, Madonna, and most recently Trey Anastasio (Phish).

In addition to his tours with Bruce Springsteen, he has provided supporting vocals for Carly Simon, James Taylor, Steely Dan, and Pavarotti.
