In this episode DC and Lock discuss whether Jon "Bones" Jones has officially become the GOAT. Jon "Bones" Jones is widely regarded as one of the greatest mixed martial artists of all time. Born on July 19, 1987, in Rochester, New York, Jones displayed remarkable athleticism from a young age. He began his martial arts journey in high school, where he excelled in wrestling and earned a state championship.
Jones made his professional MMA debut in 2008, and his immense talent was immediately apparent. Displaying an exciting and unorthodox fighting style, he quickly made a name for himself in the MMA world. With a combination of striking, grappling, and submissions, Jones showcased a well-rounded skill set that left opponents struggling to find a weakness.
In 2011, at just 23 years old, Jones became the youngest UFC Light Heavyweight Champion in history after defeating Mauricio "Shogun" Rua. Jones' reign was marked by an impressive string of title defenses against formidable opponents, including Quinton "Rampage" Jackson, Lyoto Machida, and Rashad Evans.
During his illustrious career, Jones has set numerous records, including the most title defenses in the light heavyweight division and the longest unbeaten streak in UFC history. His accomplishments have earned him widespread recognition, including numerous Fighter of the Year awards and consistent appearances on pound-for-pound rankings.
And now he can add two division UFC Champion to his resume!
