This is another Gloves & Roses episode of The FatBoy MMA Podcast. In this episode DC and Lock will be discussing Urijah Faber, also known as "The California Kid". He is a retired American mixed martial artist and former World Extreme Cagefighting featherweight champion. Throughout his career, Faber established himself as one of the top bantamweight fighters in the world, known for his quick striking, slick submissions, and charismatic personality.
Faber made his professional debut in 2003 and quickly rose to prominence, winning his first seven fights in impressive fashion. He won the WEC featherweight title in 2006 and successfully defended it multiple times, earning him a reputation as one of the top fighters in the lighter weight classes. After the WEC was purchased by the UFC, Faber continued to compete in the UFC's bantamweight division and retired in 2019 with a record of 35 wins, 11 losses.
