Farming with Science is a collection of science-based educational interviews in agriculture and natural resources developed by educators (also referred to as County agents) from the University of Florida IFAS Extension. This project aspires to improve the understanding of agricultural practices, promote science-based practice adoption, and increase the awareness of how the food that we eat gets to our table. At the same time we promote sound decision-making by farmers and ranchers to positively impact their communities and the ecosystems where they reside in Florida.

There is a whole host of challenges that can make farming and gardening a nightmare. Some of these are environmental, while others are caused by pathogens. This episode will hopefully shed some light on this question as Marlia Bosques, Plant Pathologist with University of Florida discusses diseases and disorders that can affect our crops, reduce our yields, and spread in our farm.
