FANG is a platform to share our lives as African Americans who grew up on traditional Nigerian values in Brooklyn, NY. After accomplishing the life long goal of our immigrant-parents to have a Bachelors degree we are now ready to live the great life that having a degree is suppose to reward us with. Yet months and years have gone by and we are still wondering what’s next; marriage, careers, businesses, toilet paper shortage, spiked gas prices? With COVID-19 making its debut not to long after walking the virtual graduation stage, we are taking the opportunity to really sit, be still and think; what the heck are we supposed to be doing right now? What do we want to come from our lives because what we were expecting has not revealed itself as promised? We were told by our elders to do what you love and you’ll never work a day in your life. And chile, we do not want to work! FANG stands for “First American-Nigerian Generation” and the creators are Mukrimat & Rebecca.
