Neste novo episódio de Falar as Danças, recebemos o ensaísta e curador independente André Lepecki, que nos lerá um texto seu, intitulado “A disputa pelo movimento e o não-tempo da luta: um delírio em quatro movimentos”. Lepecki trabalha e investiga na intersecção de estudos críticos de dança, prática curatorial, teoria da performance, dança contemporânea e performance em artes visuais. É professor titular na Universidade de Nova Iorque, onde coordena o Departamento de Estudos da Performance. Publicou "Exhausting Dance: Performance and the Politics of Movement" pela Routledge em 2006, entretanto traduzido para 13 idiomas; e, pela mesma editora, em 2016, publicou "Singularities: Dance in the Age of Performance".

Falar as Danças apresenta uma série de episódios, tanto português como em inglês, em que artistas da cena internacional da dança contemporânea discutem questões que fazem da dança e da coreografia um terreno inesgotável de experimentação, problematização e pensamento.

Uma co-produção entre os Estúdios Victor Córdon e a Associação Parasita, com curadoria de Carlos Manuel Oliveira.

In this new episode of Wording Dances, we invited the essayist and curator André Lepecki to read us a text of his, entitled “The dispute for movement and the non-time of struggle: a delirium in four movements”. Lepecki works and researches at the intersection between critical dance studies, curatorial practice, performance theory, contemporary dance and performance in visual arts. He is a full professor at New York University, where he coordinates the Department of Performance Studies. He has authored "Exhausting Dance: Performance and the Politics of Movement", published by Routledge in 2006, which has since been translated into 13 languages, and, by the same publishing house, "Singularities: Dance in the Age of Performance", in 2016.

Wording Dances presents a series of episodes, both in english and portuguese, where renowned artists from the international contemporary dance scene discuss matters which make of dancing and choreographing an inexhaustible terrain of experimentation, problematization and thinking.

In a co-production between Estúdios Victor Córdon and Parasita Association, it is curated by Carlos Manuel Oliveira.
